The International Children's Tile Project

The International Children's Tile Project is a collection of tiles and mosaics made by children from different countries; the US, Israel, Mexico, Morocco, South Africa and Switzerland, permanently installed at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx since 2002. The children who participated are public and private school children, immigrant children, street children, and children from after school centers, ranging in age from 3 years old to teenagers. The project celebrates the creativity of children and global friendship. The installation is literally from the lands and hands of children all over the world. —For more information and images: www.ecfs.org
